As Opus rises, each stage of construction marks a considered step in its creation. Crafted with precision, the building’s form is now emerging, revealing the vision behind this riverside masterpiece.
With Opus on track for completion in early 2027, the 50-storey landmark is making a bold new statement on the London skyline. As summer draws to a close, we captured the building in the evening light. With the sun setting over London and views stretching out across the River Thames, Opus is a striking addition to the city.
LA-based ceramicist Ben Medansky has been working on site to install bespoke ceramic wall tiles for the Grand Foyer. Inspired by falling curtains and the nearby Globe Theatre, the tiles have been designed to cast shifting shadows as natural light moves through the space, creating a sense of calm and capturing the moment when one performance ends and another begins. Opus has topped out and now stands at 50-storeys, 170 metres, high above London’s South Bank. To mark this major milestone within the Bankside Yards development, Native Land and principal contractor Mulitplex welcomed the entire project team, partners, investors and contractors to the 41st floor of Opus, for a topping out ceremony held against the backdrop of exceptional panoramic views of London’s skyline and the River Thames.
Set within the restored Victorian railway arches at Bankside Yards, the Opus Sales Gallery offers an immersive introduction to the architectural ambition, refined lifestyle, and cultural context of Opus. Now open by appointment, the gallery features a cinematic immersion room, detailed scale models, and a beautifully crafted show apartment - every element of the gallery brings the vision of Opus to life.
Truly a night to remember, Opus has officially launched. Set within the fully restored historic arches of Bankside Yards, the immersive evening unfolded as a multi-sensory celebration. A bold expression of the Opus vision, the event featured electrifying dance performances, DJ sets by Mary Charteris and Hanna Hanra, and seasonal gastronomy paired with bespoke cocktails curated by Bistrotheque.
